CBD oil offers relief for ailing pets
At the beginning of 2018 CBD oil was not considered legal in Indiana despite many other states seeing the effectiveness on it's citizens. But people aren't the only one's deserving of and in need of relief. Though our furry friends may not always be able to communicate it, they start to slow down and feel more pain as the years go by, and just like people allover the world are discovering, CBD can bring relief to your aging dogs. The mayor of Hammond, Indiana noticed his beloved dog, Teddy began slowing down as he got older and one day decided to try out CBD oil. Before long Mayor Thomas noticed a big change in Teddy as he began acting like his younger self. His energy was better and so was his appetite. While no formal studies have been conducted on the effectiveness of CBD in dogs, stories like this of anecdotal evidence are popping up all the time now. Until official research can be done the American Kennel Club recommends talking with your veterinarian to decide an appropriate dose for your furry friend.
According to the American Kennel Club, there has been no formal study of how CBD affects dogs. However, the organization says scientists do know that cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid receptors in the central and peripheral nervous systems, which help keep the body in a normal healthy state.
